1. Service description
Web Hosting includes disk space, bandwidth, email accounts and database access allocated to your hosting plan, used to run a website, application or email for your domain(s).
2. Resource limits
Each plan has disk space, bandwidth, email account and database limits as listed on the relevant product page. Accounts that consistently exceed their plan's fair resource usage, or that materially impact other customers on shared infrastructure, may be asked to upgrade or moved to an isolated environment.
3. Domains
Domain registration and hosting are billed and renewed separately unless bundled in your package. You are responsible for keeping domain contact and renewal details up to date; Somangaye is not liable for a domain lapsing due to outdated payment or contact information.
4. Backups
We perform routine backups of hosting accounts as a convenience, but backups are not a substitute for your own copies. You remain responsible for keeping an independent backup of critical website files, databases and email. Restoration from our backups is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.
5. Uptime
We aim for high service availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practical; emergency maintenance may occur without notice.
6. Prohibited content & use
In addition to the general Acceptable Use Policy, hosting accounts may not be used to send bulk unsolicited email from our mail servers, run cryptocurrency mining, or host content that infringes third-party rights. Accounts found in breach may be suspended pending investigation.
7. Suspension for non-payment
Hosting accounts unpaid past the due date may be suspended. Content and data may be retained for a limited grace period before deletion; the exact grace period is stated in your invoice or account portal.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel hosting at any time by notifying cancellations@somangayeinternet.co.za before your next renewal date. No partial refunds are given for the unused portion of a billing cycle unless required by law.
