1. Service description
Somangaye resells fibre connectivity delivered over third-party Fibre Network Operator (FNO) infrastructure. Availability depends on whether fibre has been rolled out to your address, and installation is subject to the FNO's own network build and scheduling.
2. Installation
A standard installation covers a single ONT (Optical Network Terminal) installed at a reasonably accessible point on your premises, with cabling up to the FNO's standard allowance. Installations beyond the standard allowance (for example, extra trenching, longer internal cabling, or difficult access) may incur an additional charge quoted before work begins.
3. Activation & line rental
Line rental and your chosen package are billed from the date your fibre line is successfully activated, not from the date of your order. If installation is delayed by the FNO, we will keep you updated on the revised timeline.
4. Speeds & uptime
Package speeds (for example, 50/50, 100/100, 200/200 Mbps) reflect the line rate provisioned by the FNO between the ONT and the FNO's network. Actual throughput to specific websites or services can be affected by your router, Wi-Fi conditions, and the destination server. We target high network availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, as connectivity ultimately depends on the underlying FNO network.
5. Router & equipment
A router may be supplied as part of your package or purchased separately. Equipment supplied on a rental or contract basis remains the property of Somangaye until the applicable contract term ends or it is paid off in full, whichever your order specifies.
6. Relocation
If you move address, contact us before disconnecting your existing line. Relocation is subject to fibre availability at the new address and may incur a new installation charge from the FNO.
7. Contract terms & cancellation
Cancellation requires the notice period stated on your order (typically 30 days) in writing to accounts@somangayeinternet.co.za. Fixed-term contracts may attract an early termination charge as disclosed at the point of sale.
8. Faults & repairs
Report faults through our support channels so we can log a ticket with the FNO where required. Response and repair times for infrastructure faults are governed by the FNO's service level agreement with Somangaye, which we will share on request.
